IVORY LATTA - WEB + GRAPHIC DESIGN


Ivory Latta is a professional WNBA basketball player who was drafted 11th overall by the Detroit Shock in the 2007. Latta is known for her three-point shooting and on-court enthusiasm. She played college basketball for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a South Carolina high school basketball player she made history by scoring a total of 4,319 career points.

On January 9, 2003 U.S. Representative John Spratt honored Latta. She received the key to the city of her hometown York, South Carolina and January 10, 2003 has been declared Ivory Latta day.

Ivory Latta had the second-best 3-point field goal percentage in the WNBA for the 2007 regular season. On February 6, 2008 she was traded to the Atlanta Dream. Latta played for the Tulsa Shock from 2010-2012, and joined the Washington Mystics in 2013. In 2013 and 2014 she was selected as a WNBA All-Star. Always looking for opportunities to give back Latta accepted a position as an assistant coach at her alma mater, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
